At the
forthcoming ACMA Composites 2011 show in Fort
Lauderdale, FL, USA, February 2-4, Lucintel has been

segments of the

composites consumption has increased substantially in
wind and has begun to show potential in other green
energy segments. Total cumulative capacity installations
of renewable energy
grew by 19% during 2005-10 (excl hydro and nuclear) and
it is expected to grow with a CAGR of 18% in next 5
years (2011-16). An analysis of this sector, which is
growing in importance, will be shown during the Lucintel
presentation, based on an in-depth market research of
key trends and business indicators.
According to Lucintel, some of the positive factors
which have the ability to drive composites market growth
above current projections are: greater acceptance of
composites as a replacement for traditional materials,
low life cycle cost, high tensile strength, high
strength to weight ratio, and greater usage of
